Huffington Post listed my first book alongside David Sedaris and Mindy Kaling, as one of "46 Books Guaranteed to Make You Laugh," which is probably the last time I'll be seated next to super rich people. You can still find it listed on Amazon, or you can just get in touch with me and I'll send you one for the cost of postage.

I don't think I'm blowing my own horn too loudly when I proclaim TOBOSDRRL to be the Ultimate Bathroom Book. Beautifully illustrated by Cliff Mott, this badboy features an intro by the late great Gwar frontman Dave Brockie and contributions from everyone from Andrew WK to Theo Kogan. It's filthy, but fun, and you can read excerpts on my Features page.

My first book, How Not to Date (Sasquatch Books) was inspired by Dategirl, a sex and love advice column I used to write for the Seattle Weekly. (As well as by my then-dismal love life.) The second, The Official Book of Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n' Roll Lists (Soft Skull) came about after I ran into editor Mike Edison at BEA one year. We'd been colleagues at High Times and he'd edited me during my brief career writing dirty stuff for sketchy mags. His then-employer, Hal Leonard, bought the book, but yanked it off the presses once one of the big cheeses caught a whiff of the naughtiness contained within. Kind of weird they'd be surprised that a book about sex and drugs and rock 'n' roll contained tales of sex and drugs. . . . oh well. Soft Skull scooped it up and it's still available.
